Tigers beat the Caracas Leones 5 to 1.
The game started off with Burbank taking the lead in the first with 2 runs
using 3 hits. Brian Roberts kicked off the action when he doubled. Matsui
followed and he tripled resulting in a run. After an out was recorded, Jose
Guillen stepped in and he hit a single scoring the final run of the inning.
That early run support was enough for Mike Maroth(3-3) and Burbank. Burbank
out-hit Caracas for the game, 11 hits to 5.
T.J. Tucker recorded the save, his 3rd. Brad Penny(1-3) was given the loss.
Burbank now has a record of 10-19. With the loss Caracas now has a record of
19-10.
